SUMMARY:How Legal Technology could Shape the Future Generation – An Introduction | Student LegalTech Certificate event.
DESCRIPTION:As part of our ‘Student LegalTech Certification series’\, Guest speaker Mr Patrick Grant\, Senior Tutor and Project Director (North) for Legal Tech and Innovation at The University of Law’s Leeds Campus\, will be providing an introduction to the future of legal services highlighting key areas such as Process Mapping\, Automation and AI. \nPatrick is passionate about educating tomorrow’s lawyers and introducing students to tech\, innovation\, and entrepreneurship. Having graduated with an LLB\, he went on to study a master’s in Law and Economics at the University of Bologna and the University of Gent before completing the LPC at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. Now a non-practicing solicitor\, Patrick has worked at ULaw Leeds for 5 years. During that time\, he has designed three undergraduate modules on tech and innovation in Legal Services and collaborated on a number of postgrad legal tech modules too. Patrick is a member of the steering group for LegalTech in Leeds and is regularly involved in panels and talks around the topic of using tech to improve legal services and ultimately access to justice.
