Our event boasts two dynamic speakers who will unravel the layers of this evolving landscape. \nSPEAKER BIOGRAPHY\nLauren Watson has worked in the legal sector for the last 10 years\, with over 5 years working for legal technology companies in the UK. \nShe’s worked with hundreds of law firms ranging from mid-market firms to the global top 20 to manage all aspects of people\, process and technology. Lauren is passionate about the intersection of law and technology\, and how that can deliver benefits to the whole legal market. \nLauren is currently Head of Product Marketing at Robin AI\, a contract infrastructure platform. DESCRIPTION:As part of our ‘Student LegalTech Certification series’\, William Van Zwanenberg\, Masters Student\, welcomes guest speaker Livio Robaldo\, Senior Lecturer at the School of Law of Swansea University. Livio will present LegalDocML\, the most widely used XML standard for tagging legal documents. DESCRIPTION:As part of our ‘Student LegalTech Certification series’\, Guest speaker Mr Patrick Grant\, Senior Tutor and Project Director (North) for Legal Tech and Innovation at The University of Law’s Leeds Campus\, will be providing an introduction to the future of legal services highlighting key areas such as Process Mapping\, Automation and AI. \nPatrick is passionate about educating tomorrow’s lawyers and introducing students to tech\, innovation\, and entrepreneurship. Having graduated with an LLB\, he went on to study a master’s in Law and Economics at the University of Bologna and the University of Gent before completing the LPC at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. Now a non-practicing solicitor\, Patrick has worked at ULaw Leeds for 5 years. During that time\, he has designed three undergraduate modules on tech and innovation in Legal Services and collaborated on a number of postgrad legal tech modules too. Patrick is a member of the steering group for LegalTech in Leeds and is regularly involved in panels and talks around the topic of using tech to improve legal services and ultimately access to justice.
