We are delighted to announce the SLC conference will be held in Derby On 2nd November 2022

Following the success of last year’s event, we are back in the Riverside Centre again and have a great line-up of speakers to talk about (amongst other things) the regulatory environment, on-going professional competency, case handling by the Legal Ombudsman and HMLR registrations

  1. With presentations from
    1. The CLC
    2. The LSB
    3. LEO
    4. HMLR

Followed by a panel Session

Other main hall sessions will include:

  1. Stress in the Workplace
  2. National Conveyancing Week in 2023
  3. Energy Efficiency in homes and forthcoming legislation

However, this year, is a little bit different (but we believe more interesting) as we will also be holding breakout sessions for those that wish to attend them on:

  1. Leasehold
  2. EPCs
  3. Client Guides
  4. Setting up your own business

Kate Faulkner will be hosting the conference again this year and we are pleased to announce that speakers joining us on the stage include Dame Janet Paraskeva (CLC Chair), Simon Hayes (HM Land Registry Chief Registrar) Paul McFadden (Chief Ombudsman at LEO) and Matthew Hall (CEO at the LSB), as well as Hannah Mackinlay, Rob Hailstone (BLG), Andrew Parkin (PEPA), Miles Shipside (Rightmove), Claire Richardson (CLC) and Sian Harvey on stress management.

We have a great line up of speakers and sponsors, and it promises to be an engaging, informative, and interactive CPD event. Our Conference is FREE for all members and non-members can book a place at the discounted rate until the end of September.

This year, we are also staging a special Students Programme, hosted by John Jones which will include sessions on
